ABOUT ME

So who am I and why would you want me to help you to achieve your birth and postpartum goals?

I was the type of little girl who always had baby dolls, and I knew at a young age that my dream job was to be a mother. Fortunately, I was raised by a great woman who encouraged a healthy image of pregnancy, labor, and delivery, which led me to excitement in preparation for my first birth. I knew I had wanted an unmedicated labor, and I knew that a birth doula would be a great option to add to my own birth team. I hit some road blocks in my labor - I hit a wall, I did end up utilizing medication to assist with the pain of childbirth, but every choice was my own.

During postpartum, I realized first hand just how much mothers are disregarded in our society. I was lucky, I had a really beautiful birth, but lots of mothers don’t have the support to achieve the same. Then after, mothers are left to fend for themselves and get back on the horse. As I delved deeper into the problems we have as a society in parenthood as a whole, I knew that I wanted to have a hand in helping mothers to have beautiful starts to their journey, and to help them to find the joy in becoming a parent.

MY APPROACH

Empowerment, Support, Flexibility, and Team Work

Becoming a parent is one of the greatest joys in life - but unfortunately so much of that can be taken away from poor care during pregnancy by your support team. Allowing families to take power back within their births is my number one goal in being a doula. Whether going unmedicated, or medicated, wanting to try for a VBAC, or deciding on a repeat Cesarean, I am here to support your choices. I always ensure that along with the choices you are making that you feel well informed that you understand the benefits or disadvantages of each option you have.

I always make sure to offer my clients all of my best knowledge on medical interventions and all of the different options that are available during childbirth. I started my certification process with DONA in 2022 and have been serving families since. My education never stops, I learn more with every birth I attend, but I also stay on top of what’s new in the birth world by attending workshops, and reading lots of books about pregnancy, breastfeeding, postpartum, and nutrition during these times.

My job as a doula is to allow you to be in full power of your pregnancy and delivery. Whatever that means to you, I want you to hold your baby and feel joy in how they came into this world. Whether you're looking for in person support or virtual, I have plans that fit every family's budget and needs.

POSTPARTUM CARE PHILOSPHY

Helping you to feel well supported in the newest days at home with baby

My philosophy centers on providing compassionate, non-judgmental support to families during the transformative postpartum period. This approach emphasizes the holistic care of both the birthing parent and the newborn, offering practical help, emotional reassurance, with evidence-based information. With a focus on nurturing the well-being of the family, I create a calm, supportive environment where parents can rest, bond with their baby, and confidently adjust to their new roles.

Beyond emotional and physical support, I offer specialized assistance with sleep guidance, helping parents establish healthy sleep routines for their newborn, ensuring everyone gets the rest they need. Breastfeeding/feeding support is also a key part of this care, offering education on how to make nursing easier, or how to implement bottles, and make choices on adding formula to your routine. Additionally, I provide meal planning assistance to help families maintain nourishing, stress-free meals, and offer postpartum planning to ensure smooth transitions as parents adjust to life with a newborn.

My services can be scheduled both prenatally or postpartum, and it brings me great joy to support families through this beautiful and often challenging time. Whether it’s before baby arrives or after, I’m here to offer the guidance and care needed to help families thrive during the early months of parenthood.
